Inside the pre-bottling tasting and auction:

On August 4, the teams brought barrel samples of their wines into Melbourne's CBD at The Savoy Tavern to win the hearts, minds and dollars of restaurants, retailers and consumers. Trade and consumers met the teams, tasted their wines and got bidding to receive the final packaged product upon release in October. 

An exciting auction with an outstanding result was run by Stuart Gregor and Andrew Caillaird MW. The highest price, $65 per bottle was the winning bid for a lot of Team Webber's wine - bizarly though, this was paid by James Hird of Team Lapalus! The highest prices on average across the trade and public events were achieved by Team Forbes.

BOF is pleased to donate 10 percent of the sale price to SecondBite with an additional $500 donated by The Savoy Tavern.
