From three vineyards, six wines have been made by six teams.
On Monday August 4 at The Savoy Tavern in Melbourne's CBD, we will hold a pre-bottling tasting and en primeur auction of the 2014 vintage wines to be released in October.
Come meet the teams, taste their wines, and give them the thumbs up or thumbs down. It's wine as a bloodsport.
Results of this auction, hosted by Stuart Gregor and Andrew Caillaird MW, will help determine the competition’s winner.
The en primeur system of buying wine as futures is popular for great vintages of famous labels where demand is feverish. Therefore, it makes perfect sense for us to do an en primeur auction of our wines harvested in March and to be released in October! Why bother with Bordeaux futures and wait two years, when you can get these wines in two months!
